At Slow Space we believe that meditation is the most valuable skill a human can learn. To truly increase mental health we need to look at the source, our minds, and understand how it works. This is where we step in and share knowledge that although stems from ancient traditions, apply to the modern day stresses and challenges we face daily. Meditation is gaining traction in the medical and scientific fields as an effective complimentary treatment for stress, anxiety and depression. We are in a mental health crisis and stress is seen to be one of the leading factors.
Almost everyone is encouraged to exercise daily but a lot of people miss the importance of a daily mental and emotional training. Not to mention the benefit of developing a truly caring and loving relationship towards ourselves and therefore fruitful relationships with all other people in our lives. Like going to the gym supports your physical fitness, a meditation practice will result in mental fitness, greater perspective and inner peace, which is the antidote of stress.
Our mission is to help you understand what meditation actually is, to make you feel encouraged to begin practising and to break it down into accessible ways so that you can build a lasting practice.
